This cooling, analgesic muscle spray is formulated with organic Arnica* extract and MSM* (Methylsulfonylmethane) to provide maximum relief of muscle aches, joint pain, arthritis, cramps, bruising, swelling, etc. Natural Menthol, Camphor, Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel and pure essential oils produce an intense and lasting cooling sensation to counteract pain and improve circulation. Arnica helps the healing of bruises and sprains, while MSM helps to reduce inflammation and detoxify the muscles for faster recovery. Contains added Magnesium to loosen tight muscles, prevent cramping and reduce build-up of lactic acid. Fast acting, no medicinal smell, non-greasy and won't stain clothing. Great to use at home, at the office, after a workout or on the go. 100% Vegan, preservative-free and cruelty-free.

*One of the most common uses of arnica is the treatment of wounds, bruises, sunburn, and other forms of skin irritation or inflammation.  In this case, this arnica-based liquid spray is topically applied to promote healing and soothing of the skin.  Arnica is also touted as a means of relieving muscle soreness and sprain-related pain.  Other research suggests that arnica may be useful in treating the following health problems: arthritis, backache, muscle-soreness, carpal tunnel syndrome, post-surgery swelling, post-surgery pain and fibromyalgia.

*MSM (Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane) is an organic form of sulfur, fundamental to the development of proteins in all living creatures. Perhaps the most remarkable discovery regarding MSM is that it is an effective pain killer. MSM works for many types of chronic pain. In March 1999, Stanley W. Jacob, M.D., and Ronald M. Lawrence, M.D., Ph.D., published “The Miracle of MSM: The Natural Solution for Pain”. Their book was based on their experience as medical doctors and MSM researchers. Dr. Jacob is the head of the DMSO Pain Clinic in Portland, OR, and a Professor at the Oregon Health Sciences University, and Dr. Lawrence was the founder of the International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Association for the Study of Headaches. Combined, they have over 20 years of experience with fighting pain with MSM. They concluded that of more than 18,000 patients that suffered from chronic pain, about 70% experienced benefits from the use of MSM, finding that pain either diminished or disappeared altogether.

The types of pain which have been treated successfully with MSM include:

  • Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lower back pains
  • Headaches, migraines
  • Muscle aches
  • Bursitis
  • Tennis elbows and other sports injuries
  • Carpal Syndrome
  • Sclerosis
  • Whiplash
  • RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)
  • Scars due to burns, operations, accidents, etc.

Using Heat and Cold to Reduce Pain

Both heat and cold can help reduce pain. However, it can be confusing to decide which is more appropriate at any given time. These basic rules may help:

Use cold for acute pain or a new swollen/inflamed injury (Cooling Muscle Spray).

Use heat for chronic pain or an injury that is a day or more old (Warming Muscle Rub).

Ultimately, you need to choose what works best for you. If cold feels unpleasant, then heat may provide more comfort. However, it is important to take the type of injury into account. Different types of injury need different treatments to heal properly. Ice and heat are not substitutes for medical evaluation and treatment.

Muscle Spray

I have psoriatic arthritis and by the end of the day, so many joints ache that it is hard to sleep. I use this spray and it helps a lot in alleviating the discomfort I feel. I use a lot of essential oils as well as arnica on a regular basis, but this combination is the best I've found. Highly recommend!
